Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room, I am I, and you are you, Whatever we were to each other, that we are still, Call me by my old familiar name, Speak to me in the same easy way which you always did, Put no difference into your tone; Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without the shadow of a ghost on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is absolutely unbroken continuity, Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Joanne Christou who was born in United States on April 17, 1957 and passed away on March 8, 2014.  I know that my sister in law lives on in spirit as will her legacy through her children( 14 godchildren, nieces & nephews). Although she has left us , it is with great pride that I know she was courageous, selfless and brought joy to the lives of so many. She was a unique individual with a soul next to none. She has certainly left her mark in this world and made a difference....at the end of the day, that's what it's all about.  I am fortunate to have had the good faith to have shared so many amazing memories with Joanne that I will lock away in my heart forever.  Joanne , You will live forever in our memories and hearts. We love and miss you sooo much.
